Kinship: Part 4
“…prepared for only two bites,
first for surprise and
second to remember.”
Such care and devotion in this 💛
Thanks for reading along this week Ann. It means a lot! ☀️
Brian, as we worked on this project, I’ve witnessed your poem often. Yet this morning, the power of your words touch me as if reading anew. Your active verb choices are elegant. Merci.🌱
Thanks Katharine! My favorite poems are the ones I can come to again and again and be touched. I’m glad this one does that for you!
Superb poem, yet again. :D
Absolute favourite line, for the truth it speaks:
"knowing oceans cannot be portioned"
Thanks Nathan…I was really happy with this one.
What to do with truth: and exchange - what a poem, Brian! Profound and compelling......
Thanks Leon 🙂
This: Carry truth in the way
one carries a heavy load,
light on the shoulders and
heavy on the hips for it
will be a long journey.
I like this style of poem, Brian. The theme of truth through each of the stanzas really connects them all nicely. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Neil!
I love how this poem reads like a manifesto, with an implicit call to action.
This may be my favorite poem I've read of yours, Brian. So great. I especially loved this stanza:
"Carry truth in the way
will be a long journey."
