Jim Harrison
Nicely done, Brian. I so relate to this poem right now. And I love your reading and the ambient sounds. Perfect!
Thanks Jonathan. Bird sound in the background makes a mediocre reading sound divine!
Some good layers in this poem: ground, trees, sky. Sleeping and waking. I’m not familiar with this poet, but I enjoy his realism and stream of consciousness. This promises to be an interesting discussion in the chat.
Agreed, see ya there!

Been there many times. Maybe I'll have to take my own Rose-dog out for an early walk. But who am I kidding. I barely make it to work on time.
Take the evening stroll…
Done deal.
Thanks for that Brian. I've read a few of his novels, very good prose, often very much like poetry.
Do you have a memorable one? I’ve only read his poetry but would love a recommendation!
I've read "True North", "Sundog". and "Dead Man's Float". He's just a really good crafter of prose.
